QUALITY AUDITING FOR AEROSPACE COMPANIES
(24 hour/3 day Course)
This course is designed for personnel who are not
directly involved in Quality Assurance as their prime task. It is based on the precepts
of ISO 9001 and AS9100 and is designed to give the participants a knowledge of the subject. It outlines the requirements for
Quality Assurance audits and Quality Assurance auditors and gives information
for preparation of audit reports.
Although the course is designed primarily for
companies whose involvement is in aerospace subjects, some of the content
applies to industrial companies concerned with quality management for their
product or service.
The course comprises
Day One -
Basic
Principles: An outline of Quality Assurance principles and practices.
Basic definitions of terms used in Quality Assurance.
The need for Quality Assurance and the difference between
Quality Assurance and Quality Control and the common misuse of terminology.
Day Two -
audit
requirements and preparation: Introduction to audits and objects of audits.
Audit requirements and reasons for audit.
Compilation of check lists.
Structuring and responsibilities of Quality Assurance Audit
Programmes. Audit planning, preparation and activities required prior to
audit.
Day Three -
audit
performance, follow-up and reporting:
Continuation for preparation of audit and carrying out
of audit on selected course members.
Discussion of audit results and methods for improvement.
General discussion and course de-brief.
