Thermographic Inspection of Aerospace Structures and Components
(80 hour/10 day Course)
Due to increasing demand, the International School of Aerospace NDT, in association with the Institute of Infrared Thermography, has developed a two week Level II course that addresses the issues raised by Aerospace technicians to thoroughly understand infrared thermography technology and maximise it's use in the field.
Why will our particular course be beneficial to you?:
- Our thermography training instructor has many years experience in thermography, including aircraft inspections.
- We provide practical test materials and investigate them using refrigeration, heater blanket and hot air gun methods as outlined by Airbus & Boeing.
- Our courses employ a number of infrared cameras to allow students to evaluate the results from equipment at all price ranges.
- You can expect many hours practical work using all techniques and a selection of cameras.
- You will be able to find out how to reveal the honeycomb structure detail as well as areas of moisture ingress by simple exploitation of excellent camera techniques.
- You will be able to define the difference between excessive resin and fluid ingress.
- This course was the first course to be endorsed by BINDT under EN4179.
Our students are tested with Level II theoretical closed book General examination, technical specific examination, procedure writing and at least 3 practical tests throughout the course in accordance with the requirements of EN4179. Once completed we believe our students will be able to use infrared Thermography in the field of NDT with maximum confidence.
